Hi everyone!
Here we are at the end of our six-week internship in Turin. What an experience!
We've just returned to Helsinki, and as surprising as it may seem, we're very happy about it. Despite a major lack of light in winter and heartbreaking temperatures, we were starting to miss the peace and quiet. We don't necessarily realize it, but living in a gentle, simple, easy-going city, where it's so easy to get around, where being on time and organized is part of the culture, it's life-changing...
This doesn't take away from the incredible moments we had throughout our stay in Italy: our friends, the ice, the coaches, the environment, the food, and more. We're bringing back with us so many memories that will remain etched in our hearts.
Neil Brown joined us for these last two weeks, and it was a pleasure working with him again. Thank you, Neil, for your unwavering support. You've been with us since day one, and we hope to keep you by our side for a long time to come.
Nicolo has also been a huge part of these last two weeks with us. Nicolo is a choreographer with a resume as long as your arm. He has danced on Broadway for years, to name just one of his accomplishments. His energy has done us a lot of good, filling us with happiness, support, and kindness. Thank you, Nicolo, for all of this. We'll see each other again soon, for sure.
A quick shout-out to you too, Emanuele. Thank you for your patience, your commitment, and your spontaneity. Thank you for your kindness.
To sum it all up, thank you to everyone who made this workshop such a wonderful experience: coaches, students, teachers, bartenders. You all carried out this workshop with passion and kindness. You made us laugh, dance, work, doubt, rework, and dance again, and this experience is now printed in our book.
We are now in the final stretch before our September tests. In three weeks, we'll be going to Lyon to present our programs to the federation, and we can tell you that we're looking forward to it. We can't wait to present our work, rediscover some of the sensations, get feedback from the judges, etc.
